The wrap up:
Amazing album. From start to finish. I was hesitant on if Kendrick would be able to live up to the anticipation and hype that was created around this effort, but he definitely delivered. Although there were a few tracks I had to let grow on me, the overall effort was a great one. I really think he took us to Compton, through the streets of Los Angeles and opened up his mind and world to the public. You can definitely hear his experiences through his word choice and delivery. Only downfall of the album was the placement of his tracks. I would have liked to see certain songs preceed others, but I can’t bicker too much about that.
Favorite tracks off the album were:
Black Boy Fly
The Recipe feat Dr. Dre
Bitch, Dant Kill My Vibe
Poetic Justice feat Drake
Hell… The whole thing.
Good effort Kendrick. Can’t wait for the next project.
